"Popsticks" in the Tub, and other rainy day fun

Well, I never thought I'd hear my dad (a farmer) say it, but it's true. We've had TOO MUCH RAIN. It hasn't been good for the Kennedy farm, and it has made us here at the LHIGP a little crazy. It's been interesting trying to occupy and entertain the little guys between Will being in Utah for a week and trying to keep our home presentable for potential buyers. While visiting the farm for a few days, my eldest even asked, "Doc, are we gonna sail these seven seas?" That's how much water there is, people. So, we've had to be creative, play with friends a lot (thanks Brimberrys and Starrs) and visit the farm for a few days too!
Here's what's been going on.......
1. "Mom, what can we do?"

3. Or we could take a bath in the middle of the day and eat a "popstick"......


4. Jack: "I have a good idea. Let's go to the farm!" Josie found a new love this visit - homegrown plums from Doc's orchard. Jack was determined to play baseball with his uncles' gear - a big bat, a real baseball, and a Dallas Cowboy football helmet! This kid has some skills already.


5. The Ft. Worth Childrens Museum was a great rainy day activity. The kids enjoyed the Star Wars exhibit, but mostly loved the childrens section where they drove cars, mailed letters, washed dishes, talked on the phone, and went grocery shopping. Josie cried when it was time to go home.



6. I have been delighted to see the kids becoming more and more creative in playing. Here is Jack, or his superhero alias "Super Pullup Boy." Jo's new games include wrestling, covering up everyone with blankets, and lots of high fives and "pounds!"
