Jack had the perfect weekend, playing ball with his Daddy on Saturday and Doc on Sunday. He was even looking the part (very essential) in this pass-down jersey from my brother's closet. When he saw it, he said, "hey, mam, #10 just like Michael Young." (TX Rangers) He loved swimming and was a good helper in the garden...when rewarded by playing more ball!

Josie loved doing her "farm jobs." This includes gathering the eggs, picking peas and corn, and finding caterpillars. She and Kate love to paint outside, follow Dutch around, and swing in the tire swing. The water was too cold for this princess but eventually she got brave and splashed around. Mam began calling Jo "the chicken whisperer" as only she can get close enough to the chickens to pet them! Josie and Mommy had a date to a dear friend's wedding in Clifton. She looked so pretty and was friendly and happy to have some one-on-one time with me.

Kate is really at home at the farm. She loves to roam the open space and make a mess! Her favorite activities this trip were painting, sliding, and squealing at Dutch. I think she feels big at the farm because she gets to do everything J and J do. It warms my heart to see my kids at their home away from home.

It was Sam's first trip to the farm and he did great. He had lots of smiles for Doc and Mam in the early morning and loved going outside to watch the big kids. He took a few pumped bottles from Mam so Mommy could get some sleep. It was like a vacation!

We welcome summer and look forward to many happy times together.
